</ episode one: the girl who announces the earthquake!>
2019-08-08 12:16:44 by Nada Tebba{Hi, I do write code, and it seems crazy! Do you want to know my story? Maybe?} {My name is Nada, and it got nothing to do with Spanish! (by the way, I adore Spain especially Barcelona) . I wrote my first line of code in HTML at the age of 14. It was something like: < b > blablabla < / b > .Don't make fun of it! Once upon a time, this Html tag was revolutionary for the teenage girl I was.} {At that time, I developed a close relationship with computers. I secretly opened the case of our desktop computer, spending hours looking at its components and sometimes transforming them into a puzzle game ( rest assured, that computer had resisted my creepy manipulation, seldom ended up in the repair store)} {In high school, we took once a week, computer lessons. We learned at the time MS-DOS commands. It was just an introduction, but for me, it was a piece of magic! I decide to learn to code. I signed up for a coding Bootcamp. Unfortunately, because of my full schedule, and many other reasons, I couldn’t join it.} {As my interest in computer science was my love for biology. It was unthinkable for me to choose between both of them. I graduated from high school. I was confused, looking for a way to keep an eye on my two beloveds center of interests: the human body and computer. } {My school counselor, my entourage, the whole world convinced me that it's impossible to be as good in both sciences. I, for the first time, faced the changing life's choice dilemma! The human body won! } {During my first year at university, fate played with me. I had algorithms courses. Convinced that it is a sign from the universe, I decided to pursue my dream to study programming! We were supposed to learn Pascal programming language. We didn’t broach this chapter. No one in the class was interested. I was the only one! Anyway, I bought a book to learn coding basics on my own and guess what?...} {That book slept for 13 years in my parent's cupboard! Are you wondering what did I do, during those years? I studied hard to explore the human body mechanisms, and I get my Ph.D. Did I break up with computers? Of course not! Did I do anything to learn to code? Obviously, no!} {I jumped into the world of work. I fought to do my job flawlessly in a deficient environment. I got the appreciations of my crew and chiefs " this job is your calling " they said. I struggled, succeeded, but I, fortunately, learned to be authentic!} {A string of events followed one another. Unexpected encounters shook my certitudes. A little voice inside me arose from nowhere, reminded me: " it is time to achieve one of the most passionate purposes of all your life " . } {Guess who's back? The girl (woman, today) who once disassembled the case of the computer!} {After a break and deep reflection, I decided to drop a promising career for an uncertain future! I proudly announced my decision to my relatives. Some thought, it was the thirty's life crisis, others didn’t understand what I said. At least, I had the support of a few of them. } {I have knocked unopened doors and faced rejections, to find the right approach to learn code. " It is insane, impossible " rhythmed my days! But I was too stubborn to quit quickly.} {2019, new year, new resolution! I integrated a tech school in my area, started to learn to code. Moreover, the budding programmer's diary begins. I don't know where this adventure brings me, but it strangely feels fantastic!} {PS: what I said above is going to be a big revelation for many people who already know me (by the way, I have many hidden talents and dreams 😉 ) .}
